Our founder, Melissa Ray, has had a passion for animals her entire life. From owning guinea pigs as her first pet to raising beef cows with her grandparents, her animal rapport has been vast but the one thing, she has never lived without, is man's best friend!

Throughout her time as a dog lover, Melissa has worked in a grooming salon, as a doggie daycare manager, in a kennel environment and as an assistant trainer. While she enjoyed every role she pursued, after 2 years of building up her experience and resume, she decided to invest in her future and further her education at The Academy of Pet Careers in Saint Charles, Missouri. 

While in school, Melissa expanded her knowledge in behavior and problem solving, canine body language and communication and positive based training techniques. She spent her time specializing in service dog training and scent work and even learned about pet first aid and CPR. 

Upon graduation Melissa became a Nationally Certified Specialized Dog Trainer and is PetSafe Certified in First Aid and CPR.
